Application:
With concentrations not exceeding 5%, it serves as an astringent and antimicrobial in cosmetic products. Zinc phenol sulphonate is used in such products as astringent creams and lotion deodorants, aftershave lotions, skin fresheners and tonics, body and foot powdersOphthalmic solutions for the treatment of irritation and conjunctivitis contain zinc phenol sulfonate as one of their active ingredients. Zinc phenolsulfonate is currently utilized in insecticide formulations in addition to for cosmetic purposes.
